God, I hope they do this movie.
Prior to the writers strike there was a big buzz about a possible Voltron big screen movie. Some people even thought Cloverfield was a Voltron movie before the monster was finally revealed (though I didn’t believe that for a second). But it looks as if Relativity Media are working on bringing the popular 80s cartoon to life.
Producer Mark Gordon describes the movie as a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico, where five survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth’s invaders.
