Warner Bros To Bring Back Freddy for 2009

I’ve been reading about this since New Line got taken over by Warner Bros. With the success of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake & the upcoming Friday the 13th revisioning due out next February, it was only a matter of time before the Nightmare on Elm Street series was revamped. There’s no word yet on a cast or more importantly who will play Freddy himself. Warner Bros have hired Wesley Strick to pen the film. Strick states the new project will keep the high school setting and delve deeper in the psychology of nightmares and Freddy Krueger himself.

And ironically, it’ll be the 25th Anniversary of the original film’s release.

Hope they can pull this off…
